Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets.
- Mix dry ingredients in a bowl; cream butter and sugars, then add eggs and vanilla.
- Gradually combine dry and wet mixtures; fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
- Drop dough onto baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes until edges are golden; cool on racks.
Notes
For softer cookies, slightly underbake and let cool on the baking sheet.
