Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, salt.
- Mix wet ingredients: melted butter, sugars, egg, yolk, vanilla.
- Combine dry and wet: stir until dough forms. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop onto baking sheets, bake 10–12 mins, cool on wire rack. Sprinkle with salt if desired.
Notes
For softer cookies, slightly underbake and let cool on the sheet.
