Method
- Mix dry ingredients, then cream butter and sugar. Add egg and extracts, then combine with dry ingredients to form dough.
- Divide dough, color one portion green, roll out to 1/4 inch thick.
- Cut out Christmas tree shapes, place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden. Cool completely.
- Decorate cooled cookies with royal icing or frosting and add sprinkles.

Chill the dough before rolling for easier handling.
