  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 cup full-fat sour cream
  • 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 8 oz egg noodles (or pasta of choice)
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 2 tsp olive oil

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet; sauté onions and garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add ground beef; cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in mushrooms, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce; cook until soft.
  4. Sprinkle flour; pour in beef broth, stirring until smooth and bubbling.
  5. Reduce heat; mix in sour cream and simmer until thickened. Serve over noodles.

Notes

For a richer flavor, let the sauce simmer longer before serving.
