Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Toss sliced apples with sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Spread in dish.
- Mix oats, flour, and brown sugar. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden and bubbling.
- Cool slightly. Serve warm with ice cream and caramel sauce.
Notes
For best results, use a mix of tart and sweet apples.
