Method
- Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs.
- Mix in sifted flour, tartar, baking soda, and salt.
- Chill dough for at least 15 minutes.
- Combine sugar and cinnamon; roll dough into balls, coat, and place on sheet.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, then cool.
Notes
For softer cookies, slightly underbake and cool on a wire rack.
